Million Dollar Decorating, LLC Digital Director and Media Host – Bath, Maine July 2015 – Present   Created and launched the first outward facing, internationally recognized podcast in the home/design vertical. Following a March 2016 launch, quickly landed in the Top 10 podcasts on ITunes' "New & Noteworthy" Arts section and has consistently been in the Top 100 Podcasts across all 300,000 titles on ITunes. Surpassed 1,000,000 downloads of the show. Developed all digital media around brand and show. Produced social media centric marketing initiatives which helped drive visibility and viability of the show. Responsible for interview content of 625 unique episodes featuring luxury lifestyle guests from over 19 countries.      


James Swan Enterprises Freelance Content Creator and Strategist – Pemaquid and Bath, Maine.  January 2010 – Present   Built work as digital content curator and strategist with strong understanding of the power of brand and its strength in the digital world. With a focus on the premium space of retail have brought together digital strategists and creative visionaries in ways never seen in the home goods vertical. Developed unique content for over 600 interview/episodes on noted global lifestyle podcast with focus on the home design, architecture, fashion, retail and travel verticals. Excited and inspired by content that entices a click and a reaction that guides users through the purchasing funnel. Wrote digital content for the “Trends & Shopping” column in House & Garden magazine as well as the online real estate site Curbed.com. Create product descriptions, email, sales sheets and brand decks as well as ongoing editorial content for print and digital portals. Worked on major campaigns with luxury brands in home, retail and fashion verticals. Projects include work for Currey & Company, Theodore Alexander, HSN and Lucky Brand.     


Carter & Company  Special Project Director – Boston, Massachusetts.  May 2012 – July 2013   Primarily responsible for design, documentation, project management, branding and social media launch of retail project “Dayton Home”, a 6000-square foot luxury retail destination in Chestnut Hill Massachusetts co-owned by Carter & Company principal. Delivered the physical plant for occupancy (converted from former grocery store) on time (92 days) and under budget. Simultaneously created online presence with digital content, social media roll-out. Directed all digital engagements and editorial features around brand and store launch.      


New Wall Enterprises Managing Partner – Boston, Massachusetts/Pemaquid, Maine May 2009 – July 2012   Launched lifestyle and media brand. Acted as lead for brand development directing digital strategic, creative and media solutions. Won American Booksellers Award for first book, “101 Things I Hate About Your House" (HCI Publishing Co.). Launched brand site and leveraged social media following into an early adopter community which was the first in the home design/lifestyle vertical. Developed national influencer campaign in conjunction with keynote speaking program.  Tied in book promotional tour (online and in person) for Summer 2011.      


James Swan & Company Principle – Beverly Hills, California. August 1999 – April 2009   Launched design consultancy. Built custom residential and hospitality business, offering bespoke services to captains of industry, movie studio heads and investment bankers. With offices in Beverly Hills and Boston projects were developed and managed through to completion across the country with a staff of 12 and billings exceeding $10M. Interior design, interior architecture, project management, custom furniture and product design, purchasing, expediting and white-glove installation services were provided. Firm was recognized with the VOX/Out Designer of the Year award, and was featured in House & Garden, House Beautiful, and the Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, The Miami Herald and on Curbed.com.    


Frank Pennino, Interior Design Senior Designer – Los Angeles, California.  November 1997- June 1999   Managed multiple custom residential design projects across the United States with average budget of $2M. Guided design concept through client presentation to client approval. Oversaw purchasing, product development and specification. Managed construction sites with weekly team meetings. Supervised production of custom pieces for each project. Oversaw production checks and product sign-offs. Supervised white-glove installation, client punch-list and final project billing.
